It' rather old -- The motherboard dates back to 1999.
There's a bios upgrade available on the HP site but it dates back to 2000-- so would there be any use flashing the bios -- which some people sya can be tricky?

Hi!
It can be useful to flash the BIOS, maybe it will help. The flashing can be a bit advanced, but there are always good documentation included. My mainboard is from 2000 and it can boot from flash memory.
