USB at startup??
Hi, I've just installed SuSE 7.3, during the installation Yast2 found my USB Cable Modem. When I now go to the config panel it isn't there. Apparrently its because the module "acm" isn't loaded at startup - I have to add this module to USB_DRIVERS in /etc/rc.config
The trouble is when I go into /etc/rc.config there are no usb drivers at all (USB_DRIVERS doesn't exist!). I believe I should have "usbcore" & either "usb-uhci" or "usb-ohci". My question is this (at last!) - what do I have to put in /etc/rc.config to make my usb modules load at startup? Also, which of the above do I need - "usb-uhci" or "usb-ohci"? Thanks in advance, Chalky |
i'm pretty sure it's going to be usb-uhci. i've never heard of ohci.
i'm not at my rig right now, so i can't check, but i remember the usb setup needing to be made in the /etc/modules.conf file. it was a matter of just taking out some #'s. |
My modules.conf includes...
alias usb-interface usb-uhci make sure yours does. and erm.. 'rig' ??? you'd never guess you were texan ehh isajera? Black gold... texas T ;-) |
