Urgent help required for set UID/GID Permission
Can some one explain me wht does "s" or/and "t" in each of the following set
UID/GID programs: /usr/bin/passwd -r-s--x--x /bin/su -rwsr-xr-x /usr/bin/chsh -rws--x--x /usr/bin/newgrp -rws--x--x /usr/X11R6/bin/X^1 lrwxrwxrwx /bin/ping -rwsr-xr-x /usr/bin/write -rwxr-sr-x /bin/mount -rwsr-xr-x It would be really great if some one could really help me in this. Cheers John |
Use your favorite web browser and google up a copy of 'newbie's linux manual'. There's a good instruction set on permissions and how to change them.
