Well. You need to mention what distro you are running for starters. A good way to find out in terminal is
Code:
$ cat /etc/issue Code:
$ lsb_release -a That would be a good starting point for your next post. Also state exactly what you did to create the problems. Think about what exact steps you took to use dual screens in next post and I am sure members will help if you elaborate better and give more detailed info. We are not mind readers here or standing behind you looking over your shoulder. We are flying blind in this thread so far. Happy Trails, Rok |
Start by re-booting the computer and telling us what comes up. Do you get a command line prompt, a blank screen or what?
(and please don't use words like 'urgent'. It upsets some people since we're all volunteers here :)) |

it is the kde platform and i was in the screen display settings i had changed the setting to be a daul setting with my hdtv as the top part of the screen and everything worked fine until my comp was restarted it started giving me blank screens and it looked like the image background was all bunched up to one side of the screen so i restarted the computer again and that was fine but now the top screen is a clone of the actual laptop and the panels disappeared i hope this is a little more disriptive also i cant bring up anything such as firefox
