uploading files using putty ?
 
Hi all,

I am trying to copy 5 files from my windows machine to my box using putty,

What are the commands i need ? the five files are all txt files,

work.doc
work1.doc
work2.doc
essid.doc
essid1.txt

I can SSH in to my box, that no problem, my problem is how to i get those files to the box.

Any hep would be good,

Putty cant be used for trasfering files, however u can download WinSCP and use it to do that (connect to the SSH port of linux machine)

While I do agree that WinSCP is a nice GUI tool for secure copy of files, Putty works very well for the job also using the command line tool called pscp.
Check out this on putty. In particular, the section on pscp which is used to tranfer files to and from a remote host.
