Upgrading to Vn 14.0

I'm currently running Slackware Vn 13.0 and I want to upgrade. Can I upgrade directly to Vn 14.0 or do I need to do incremental upgrades - i.e Vn 13.1 then Vn 13.37 then, finally, Vn 14.0 ?

Hi, welcome to LQ,

you should ask this question in the Slackware forum of LQ.

In my opinion it would be easier to do a fresh install. But you can use slackpg in order to upgrade at first to 13.37 and then to 14.0.

Be sure to configure /etc/slackpkg/slackpg.conf to Download all packages before the installation!

Fresh install would be easier, but upgrading is better. I don't know how to upgrade though, but i checked markush' link, you might find the answers there.

Slackware does not support direct upgrades over several versions. So you have to upgrade 13.0 -> 13.1 -> 13.37 -> 14.0.

I had a feeling that was going to be the case.

It looks like a fresh install will be the easier option.
