upgrading to fedora core2 with yum :P
Hey i was on redhat9 and upgraded to 'fedora core 1' now im tryign to upgrade it to core 2 then core 2 to core3 but anwyays dotn worry bout that. it started upgrading my sistem to fedora 2 fine then it go to the 'Resolving Dependencies' part of the upgrade. i had problems with this when upgrading to 'core1' but removing the firewall did the trick. Now im getting these errors (my firewall is turned off again):
package redhat-config-securitylevel needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-mouse needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-rootpassword needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-keyboard needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-soundcard needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-date needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-language needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-network-tui needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-xfree86 needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-users needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
package redhat-config-kickstart needs /usr/bin/python2.2, this is not avalible.
and then exits the program.
ive checked in /usr/bin/ and there is a dir called Python2.2 and a file called python2.2 which is a binary file. the dir python2.2 is there becuase i installed python thinkign it may fix the problem but it hasent adn the binary file well i think it was there all along. oh and both the dir and the binary file have FULL permissions. i REALLY want to be able to upgrade and im hoping YOU reading can help.
