Upgrading FVWM

i currently have fvwm 2.xx on slackware 10 and would like to upgrade to the 2.5.10 in order to install fvwm-themes
i have a hard time finding the how-to on their web site, i did download the source (.tar.gz) of the two programs, so after doing:
make check
make install

i dont know what to do if there anything else doing

thank you

I don't use fvwm, so don't know how big the differences
are (e.g. whether executable names have changed or
something the like)...

I'd recommend the following:

Check where Slack's fvwm lives and then re-run
configure with that as a prefix (e.g. if it was in /usr/bin/fvwm
run ./configure --prefix=/usr )

Get and use checkinstall for the last step (instead
of make install ... that way you get a Slack-pack for
later re-use and it's easy to uninstall things).
You can find checkinstall on Slackware mirrors
under extra.
