Upgrading from FC5 to FC6?
Every time I've upgraded a Linux box I've scrapped the old installation and reinstalled. Guess I'm chicken ...
I've got a FC5 box that I would like to upgrade to FC6, but I want to try an upgrade, not a fresh install. What do I need to consider before attempting this? Should it be a 1-2-3 job of simply inserting the FC6 CDs and following the prompts?

I did that on a play box and it worked fine. Standard cavaet - backup first (a partition image is a good idea - you can just restore with a liveCD)

Thanks for that. Funny, but before I read your reply, I wrote another one, specifically about 'dd' ... http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=530897
