upgrading a RPM with sorce code
I have GTK+ installed as a RPM and I want to upgrade it. I have the source code to compile and install but I am needing to know how to upgrade from the RPM with the source code.
Do I just compile and install over it or Remove the RPM with -e --nodeps first and then compile and install the source code. Or is there another way ? |

OK I have apt-get installed and setup but it dont find the version of gtk+ I need. I have the source all ready downloaded can I tell apt-get to just use the source I downloaded. I checked the man file but could not find any thing on that.
Also I would like to know how to update a RPM with source manually just to know. |
