Upgrading
 

I'm running Mandriva Linux 2005 LE and I was wondering about something. The BETA for Mandriva 2006 is available, and I remember the last time when I upgraded from Mandrake 10.1 to Mandriva 2005 it gave me the option to "upgrade" my current Linux distro, but I just reformatted. When 2006 is done with testing and is released I was wondering if anybody could answer tell me, if I "upgrade" to Mandriva 2006, will I still keep all of my installed apps and documents? This is crucial, because I really don't want to have to go through the trouble of re-installing all my stuff and using CDs to keep my documents, 2005 is very stable and I like it, so if there is any chance that I will lose my stuff I'll just stick with it.

It should upgrade the packages on your system but leave your config files and documents intact.
