Upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10, now the screen becomes distorted to the point I need to shut down.
I UPGRADED TO UBUNTU 15.10. NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SCREEN. I GET A LOT OF DISTORTION WHEN I'M ON ANY SITE. IF I OPEN A 2ND TAB THE DISTORTION IS IMMEDIATE. IT HAS OCCURRED THREE TIME WHILE WRITING THIS. THE LAST TIME I HAD TO SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER AND RE-LOGIN. Are there anything I can do on my end to stop the distortion. The page become blurry with a lot of discoloured lines.

Unfortunately upgrades can be problematic. It is often easier to do a new install of the newer version.
In your case, ubuntu 16.04 will be available by mid- April, which is the latest version and an LTS version. |
I also had to re-install to fix problems with my upgrade.
However, my original OS was a bit dodgy anyway, which is not the case with you. Are there any error messages in your messages log? Code:
sudo cat /var/log/messages |
