Upgrade Kernel using RedHat up2date
Has anyone use Red Hat up2date command to upgrade their kernel? I try it on my computer but see no new kernel option. Do I have to edit any file (lilo or grub.config)? Did I miss something important?

I do this all the time. Use 'up2date -uf' to process the 'skip' list, which will install the kernel. You don't need to edit any files, although the up2date install of a new kernel will leave the old kernel(s) on the system. They can be removed with 'rpm -e kernel-2.4.x-x.x.x'

Same here, I did it about 3 times with up2date (in kde) and had no problem, it gives me the option to boot from either one of them in lilo :)
