Question Upgrade card plugins, can they be used?

I have an upgrade card (see sig) that requires a plugin to be used (MacOs 8.6). The computer will work fine without it, but much slower.

I'm wondering, that since the plugin does not get loaded when booting in to Linux, is there a way to enable this plugin for Linux? Linux runs a little slow, and it would be nice to have the extra kick from the plugin. Bootx has a utility with it called PlgnMkr, not sure what it does. Can this be used for making a plug in for Linux?
