Updating RHEL3 machine

I have an old RHEL3 machine that we didnt update before it went end of whatever redhat calls it, and now when i run an up2date -l, it says "This system may not be updated until it is associated with a channel."

Is there any way to give it a channel so i can get whatever updates we missed before they turned it off?

Short answer: no.

That OS has been EOLed (End of Life) and RedHat no longer provides patches.

What you need to do is format and reinstall with a a current OS, then restore your data. If you don't want to pay for a RHEL licnese, you could us CentOS, which is RedHat without the RH branding.

ok, thanks, figured i was SOL. I dont have new hardware large enough to hold all this data, so i'm screwed for now. Thanks.
