Updating Firmware.

I just started with linux and have been trying to get BackTrack to work on my new laptop. It starts up fine but will not find my internal wireless card. Its using an IPW 3945ABG. I posted on the forus at remote-exploit at and they said that the firmware only supported up to IPW2100/2200. Is their anyway to update it so that I can run BackTrack with my wireless card. If anyone can help me at all with what I need to do, download, how to install it, whatever. Thanks a bunch
