When updates are performed using yum is this the same as performing updates using RHN (clicking the button in the lower right corner and using the GUI)?

I don't remember off the top of my head for RH9, but Fedora uses the same yum repositories to run up2date as it does yum.

Otherwise, they both have access to the same packages, as long as the servers are in sync.
