Updates
I've been currently trying to update my Linux, but ever time I try it says error and I need to know how to fix this. I also would like to know how to run my updates from the command line please. So help from someone would be awesome and I would be grateful. Mvto

Hi,
can you confirm that you are running Fedora and tell us which version? The general approach for updating packages from the commandline on Fedora is to use the yum command. Eg Code:
yum upgrade Evo2. |
"it says error" is a long long way from a useful piece of information. We aren't psychic, we've no idea what the error is. We also don't know what distro you're talkign about, but presumably it's Fedora. In that case you'd just run "yum update" as root, presuming that it is a version of fedora that is still under support.
Without you giving us useufl information in the first instance, we can only guess at your problems. |
Yum upgrade
Do I need to be in root. When I run that there is nothing to run, but I have a bug thing saying I need updates. Also will raptor or python work on Linux so I can start programming, if not then what would be the best thing to install to run Raptor or Python for my programming work.

you're using fedora? Most of the higher level OS IS python.
Yes youd' need to be root. or use sudo. |
