update network manager fc11

hi
i try to update my network manager [version 0.7 from fc11] through yum, although network manager version 8 was out,but the command:
yum update networkmanager
just update it from 0.7 to 0.7.1,
why wouldn't there be network manager version 8?? [through yum i mean]
what is the reason??
thanks in advance

Generally Red Hat (and Fedora) will only provide minor version updates and backport security fixes for each release. You can only expect major version updates in new releases
