update .deb package list debian etch

i am trying to install mysql. cant find it in my package list. i'm sure it is part of the debian distribution.
how do i update my package list? when i installed debian etch i was only prompted for the first dvd. i assume that dselect now only knows about the packages on dvd 1. however, i got three dvds. i am not online with that box. sources.list only points at dvd 1 (binary1).
needless to say, i'm a newbie. cheers,

Read the apt-get man page. There is an option (I think it's apt-get cdrom) that you can use to have apt-get read other cd/dvd disks.
