Have you tried using the debug option for dpkg to get more info?

How about other package managers.. aptitude, apt, dselect?.. sometimes one will be more helpful than another.

after debug i got this
sudo dpkg --debug=3773 -i /home/mahfuz/Desktop/Palm\ Linux/virtualbox-3.2_3.2.0-61806~Ubuntu~lucid_i386.deb

D000010: ensure_pathname_nonexisting `/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci'
D000010: ensure_pathname_nonexisting running rm -rf
Selecting previously deselected package virtualbox-3.2.
(Reading database ... 60%dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
files list file for package `com.mystuff.hello' contains empty filename

Please give more info.. are you using a desktop/laptop to connect to the palm?

Are there any other ways to connect.. like bluetooth, cable, etc?

Have you tried the other package managers.. or can you?

I am sorry for being so nosy.. but I am not familiar with working with palm... I am just trying to get more info, so maybe someone else will see this and be able to help you
