Question Unrar 3.x for Slackware 3.5

Has anyone got one of the latest versions of unrar working on a SW 3.5 machine? I've tried a number of binary distributions, but none work. I've also tried some of the source packages, but they all seem to be generic c++ code which I have no clue as to how to compile for a Linux machine. I would welcome any suggestions.

Alternatively, If anyone knows where I might find a 3.x, 16-bit version of DosRar, that would also help.()
