Unmounting and Remounting Wireless card module.

Hello, I am very new to Backtrack 5 (all linux based software) and trying to remount my Realtek internal wireless RTL8180. I have the module but it is in a tar.gz format. I have reviewed other posts such as "http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-newbie-8/how-do-i-unzip-gz-files-348593/" but still do not quite understand it. If someone could point me in a Linux/backtrack5 newbie guide that would be awesome =D.

Backtrack assumes that you as the user can write your own documentation
seeing as BT is for EXPERTS by EXPERTS for EXPORTS to use

experts are assumed to be using BT

you might want to have a look at the old BT4 tutorials and port them for use on bt5
http://www.backtrack-linux.org/tutorials/
( this task is also to be amused that you can do )

a "new to Linux" friendly distro like ???? say LinuxMint
might be a WAY better choice of OS

but if you MUST use BT5
then i suggest that you take the " Offensive Security " online training courses
