Unlock password with hiren 12

I have booted into my Linux cd it asked for the rid or username. By default it shows me the administrators username and when I try to put the Rid for the user it doesn't do anything maybe I'm doing it wrong please help. I need to unlock the password

Usually the password is "on screen", for live cd´s.

Examples : Kali/Backtrack : The root password is toor.
PCLinuxOS : The root password is root. User guest : Password is guest.
