Unhappy unknown colorls variable hl

I am using the csh environment because I need that to install a WRF model. I do not mind the problem except that when I type the tcsh, csh command, I am receiving the 'unknown colorls variable hl message and does not change csh environment. Do you have any idea?

Most likely the variable is set in /etc/profile profile.d or your personal .cshrc, or .profile. Check all of them for the variable -- before going to c shell also try doing:

Code:
unalias ls
