Unix2dos command failed with return code 1

Hi All,

I have used UNIX2DOS command in my scripts. The script is unloading the data from the table and file is forming one of the path..Then that file has to be convert in DOS using unix2dos operation, but while converting the file it failed with below message.
"unix2dos operation failed and return code is 1".
But when iam rerunning the same job the script ran fine so not able to resolve the issue,as it is failing only some times.Could you please let us know some one what is the return code 1 refer while converting file from unix2dos??

Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature. You don't tell us what version/distro of Linux, show us the input/output files (or at least samples of that data), or post your script...not a lot we can tell you based on one generic error message. Please post details and we will be happy to try to help.

The error code 1 just means there was an error but it wasn't a system error. Check the first line of the file. See if there's something incorrect, something that doesn't belong.
