Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have tried to install opera 7 and it doesn't work -- suprisingly!! Grr.. (hint the note of sarcasm there)
I now have to install qt3 or something to get it to work!
But what I would like now is to uninstall what is there and begin again... and how do I go about doing this - I notice a rollback prog in the usr/shareopera/blha/blah folder and have tried this but it also needs this qt3..
so ho do I uninstall opera - or anything else easily for that matter?
I guess what I'm asking is - there is no uninstall function like in windows, no? *cough spit* sacrelidge i know - but is there?
It all depends on what distro you're running, and what you did to install it. If you use a distro that has a package manager and used it to install, chances are the package manager will also uninstall, too.
RedHat9 and I used .rpm from the command line and then tried to use sh install.sh but am missing this qt3 module - even though its there.
I see that this is a common problem with the installation of opera.. and so thought I would remove what was installed and instead use a static version.
