Uninstalling imwheel

I read that I need to uninstall my outdated version of imwheel (version 9.9.5 I think) as a step towards getting my Logitech MX500 mouse to work properly in Linux. The trouble is, as a Windows user who's accustomed to simply running an uninstall wizard, I don't know how to be sure I've thoroughly uninstalled the daemon. Is it simply a matter of finding certain files and deleting them or is there an uninstall program I need to run. Whichever it is, please explain how to do it. Thanks.

" I don't know how to be sure I've thoroughly uninstalled the daemon."

You use rpm to uninstall the imwheel package. The command is:

rpm -e imwheel
