Question Uninstalling Applications

I'm using FC8 and I recently added a game that I am having problems with. I was tweaking around with the display settings in this game, resulting in my monitor not being able to displaying anything but black. I went to uninstall the game, thinking that reinstallation would set everything back to default. When adding the game again, via the "add remove software" in fedora, I found that nothing had changed at all, and I once again had the black screen. Does anyone know how to successfully reinstall an application?

It may have left a hidden folder of settings in your home folder. To reset everything to default all you have to do is remove that folder, it will recreate it next time it runs.
