uninstalling application or software on CentOS


I just wanna ask if there is an uninstall on CentOS or any Redhat Linux like in Windows. I just installed openswan using source (make programs, make install) and i want it to uninstall. Can you give me a procedure on how can i unstall the said application.

Try make uninstall. In general on CentOS you should be using yum to install programs (or building custom RPMs if you need to configure things at build time). That way you can remove them via the package manager.

also - make sure that you keep your makefiles around.
