Uninstall Ubuntu 9.01 - goofed up

Hello,
Newbie here...to ubuntu at least.
I want to uninstall ubuntu from a dual-boot to vista. I couldn't figure it and I also had to wipe my machine in general so I just reinstalled vista. But when I did that I assumed that ubuntu would get included in my "wiping". But of course...it's still there. Now that odd ubuntu uninstall option which was actually for some strange odd reason in the vista/control panel/uninstall options is no longer available.
So how to uninstall ubuntu? Do I just delete i and insert the vista cd to recover the boot? Is that correct?

Thanks,

You just need to remove the Ubuntu partition(s) and restore Windows' bootloader. The former can probably be done in Windows using its' partition explorer (I don't know what the tool is called) and you'll probably need the CD to restore the bootloader - that was at least the case for XP. Do some googling..

Also, this isn't a member intro, so I've reported it to be moved to a more correct place.

So i need a little help with vistad part of this. How do I do that? my boot dvd doesn't give me an option to fix. and manually...that's a little scary to me. unless there's a partition manager program that will rewrite the bootlog when deleting the partition...does that exist?

Ok. So I tried installing EasyBCD - but it doesn't show ubuntu there. But it's on the boot as an option when i turn on. That seems to be a big problem.

Sounds like you did a wubi install. If you re-installed windows, the file that contained Ubuntu will be gone. EasyBCD has an option to update the boot menu - use it to merely delete the entry for Ubuntu.

No idea I'm afraid, as I don't use Windows. Sorry!
