UNINSTALL cygwin

I tried to install cygwin on windows xp using the following steps

http://www.vtuforum.com/Thread-Install-NS2-on-Windows-7-using-Cygwin
but when I reach a position where cygwin should show $source .bashrc
, it doesn't show anything, before I could read the message the cygwin window closes off.

Please help me resolving this either by complete un installation(how..?) or any other step.

Thanks in advance

Cygwin doesn't harm anything.
If there is no "uninstall", just leave it.

Ns2 help : No help with Cygwin / ns2 (or very little help.)
Ns2 is for Linux. A genuine Linux OS is easier to handle,
and you have full technical support :

... or any other step
Suggest : Install a Linux OS on a spare computer / a spare hard disk.
( Or into `VirtualBox'.)

Did you look in Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs? That's the normal way to uninstall Windows programs.
