unhiding a partition in knoppix

Hi,

Good Day to all!

How do i convert a hidden partition to ext3?

Im planning to install Knoppix 5.1 on a 10GB partition on my laptop. qtparted shows it as "Hidden", Windows Vista doesn't detect it at all.

I can only boot Knoppix from disk.

Please make it easy. :)

You could change the partition type, then reformat as ext3 or delete the partition and create a new one, but:

...make sure you *really* want that. If it's a laptop it may be your restore partition and if you don't have recovery CDs or a backup and you're fscked if you wipe it. (Making backups being a good practice anyway.)

Hi

I deleted the swap partition then set the 10GB as an extended partition. formatted to ext3 and all is well. However, i still need to figure out how to make the sound work. :)
