"Unhandled Exception" Error Message

'Freeze ups' have been random and severe on my Suse 10.1/ 64 bit system. The following message has been seen several times. "Unhandled Exception. System Null Reference Exception. Object reference not set to an instance of an object in <0x003d9>. Novell Zenworks Gui Zentray icon: check updatesloop() in (wrapper delegate_invoke). System Multicast Delegate invoke_void ()"

Another recent posting on unhandled exceptions complains of exactly the same message. The gentleman has had no responses to his post. What does this message mean? What to do about it? Is it related to the system freeze ups? Thank you for any assistance on this problem.

Translation of Error Message

Here's what I think I can tell you:
1. "Exception" is a C++ word. The program was written in C++.
2. It is a software (program) error. Probably not anything to do with the hardware or the operating system. The nicest thing you can do is inform the developers of the program and include the entire error message.
3. What is actually occurring is that reference is being made to memory location "0", and there ain't no such address (available, anyway.) So the operating system is saying "No, you aren't going to address memory location 0", and the program does not know what to do then. That particular "exception" is not being "handled". So the program, utterly confused and lost, dies a horrible death. It's something the programmers didn't think of. I've been one of those programmers on occassion.

Lots of luck.
