Unfriendly Red Hat Site.

Agreed that Red hat has gone corporate and is more focused on helping Industries. That is where the revenue is.

However, they can still have some info. for the newbie who wants to change over or just give Linux a shot. But alas no ! It is all about enterprise and serving companies etc., :(

Well they are doing what is best for them. However, I don't see much assistance from Red Hat for the small home user anymore. I am sure that there will be others to fill this slot. Time for people like me to look elsewhere.

Actually, it still does have quite a few docs, good ones at that:
http://www.redhat.com/apps/support/

Scroll to the bottom, I tend to head over there when I'm looking for a RedHat specific answer.

Cool

Thanks for this helpful info. This is good to know. however, for a newbie on his/her own going to the Red Hat site for the first time will not be able to find this info. There can be a simple tab placed for this easily on the home page.

You can also take a look at the Red Hat Linux Manuals

Hi Mathieu:

Thanks for the post. Do you know of any place where I can get a copy of Knoppix 3.2 CD downtown in Montreal real fast ? Thanks.

Vijay

Maybe.
I know a store in Montreal that supports Linux.

Cyberlogic

Thanks. That was helpful. But they are closed today. Do you know of any other similar stores in Montreal that support Linux ? Thank you.

Vijay :)

No.
Cyberlogic is where I get most of my computer stuff.
