Unetbootin won't launch on AMD64 machine
I'm trying to put gparted on usb using unetbootin.
I've made it executable when I double-click on it or right-click on it & select open nothing happens. I even installed 32-bit libs thinking that was the problem, but, no dice it still won't launch. I have 2 hdd's both with debian on them unetbootin will not launch & yes it's the linux version that I downloaded. Unetbootin works on both Windows & my 32-bit machine. |
"I've made it executable " What is it exactly?

This I've done on my 32-bit machine also. I've just checked(32-bit machine) to see if it was necessary so I unchecked the box & it won't execute, but after rechecking it does. |
Os debian wheezy-AMD-64
specs in signature only 8 gigs ram. Still not understanding why I can't launch unetbootin in this machine only. |
Why did you download unetbootin rather than simply apt-get install unetbootin? What happens when you run unetbootin from the command line? Also, are you aware that unetbootin is usually run with root permissions and, if so, how did you set that up?

Usually I do check to see if a package is available just never thought to check for that 1.
