UNetBootIn vs. Universal-USB-Installer?
Hello
I know of two utilities on Windows to burn Linux live distros on USB keydrives: UNetBootIn and Universal-USB-Installer. I know nothing about what is required to make a USB keydrive bootable and run from it, and I was wondering if... - those two utilies have the exact same features, and just use a different UI - there are yet other utilies for Windows I should know about? Thank you. |
In my opinion, UnetBootin offers more options than Universal-USB-Installer. If you don't need to make a custom install, I would go with UUI.
There is another contender: LinuxLive USB Creator. |
There is also another contender: the 'usb-creator.exe' application on the Ubuntu 10.10 Live CD.

Thanks guys for the links.

Two (recent) Windows USB multi-boot tools
Yumi (Pendrivelinux.com) offers to be the successor of the MultibootISOs program.
I also found Sardu (sarducd.it), it is MORE GUI then the GUI of Yumi, and also offers more implicit support for Windows-based ISO's. Both programs come with download link and a list of confirmed distributions that work. Placing all ISO's in Yumi's executable folder should add them all in once, but I got adding multiple iso's only working with Sardu. I asked support, for documentation contradicts... Peace!
