Understanding what is host here

I run a command in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8 machine
# ls -l /sys/class/fc_host
host0
host1
host2

What is this host mean? Does it mean that I have 3 Fiber channel adapters are there ? How would i find how many disk are attached to this path? Really frustrated in understanding this puzzle.

It would help to know what distro/version you are running and something about your computer specs. On Slackware, that command returns zero.

This is a shot in the dark, but this article might be a starting point: http://www.opentechguides.com/how-to...hba-linux.html
