Unattended Install?
 

Is there such a thing as unattended install for Linux distributions, such as those used in Windows?

I don't think it's used a lot, but I know it's available for debian. Here's an article on it for linux...

kickstart exists for redhat

hmmm, I'm not sure I'd want such a thing. I kinda like to know what's going on with my system on something as important as an OS install.

Yes, but kickstart or something similar comes in nice and handy when you have to install more than one system at a time. For instance, when rolling out 50 identical new servers at work, I really don't want to have to install each one individually. Better to just pop in a floppy with a canned install routine that fetches the packages from an NFS server and sets up the system. Just so long as you've verified the setup script, it works quite well.

There are also toold like SystemImager to replicate a single setup on many systems.

After the first installation of fedora you can use the /root/anaconda-ks.cfg as a template and tweek to your needs or you can create a blank one from scratch through a GUI interface through
system-config-kickstart I believe it is... if you have it installed if not you will have to find the install for the gui
