Unable to umount, device is busy

i configured nfs and mounted the directory in another system...
but when i umount it it often shows "Unable to umount, device is busy"...
same case happens to cdmount also...
do anybody know to solve this...

Usually when this happens you've CD'ed your terminal session to a directory in that device. Type "cd" (which puts you back in your home directory) and you should be able to unmount.

As mentioned if you are currently in the directory that you are trying to unmount that is the common error. you can also use umount -l which is a lazy umount but this can sometimes cause undesired effects. I have never had anything bad happen by using that command but I normally had to use that when I could not get it to unmount any other way.
