Unable to Mount Windows OS in Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3
I am Unable to Mount Windows 10 hard disk drive. I have done the steps to disable Fast Start in my Windows 10 side. Done power shut down and still unable to mount OS. Went back to windows and double checked and yes, Fast Start is not clicked. I did a restart and jumped into my Linux (I have Cinnamon Mint 18.3 Sylvia) and still Unable to mount OS. This is what it says:
Unable to mount OS
Error mounting /dev/sda5 at/media/africanviolet/OS: Command-line
mount -t “ntfs” -o “uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000” “/
dev/sda5” “/media/africanviolet/OS? Exited with non-zero exit status 14:
Windows is hibernated, refused to mount.
Failed to mount’/dev/sda5’: Operation not permitted
The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume
read-only with the ‘ro’ mount option.
I don't know what to try next. I really appreciate easy to follow steps because I'm not computer smart tho not a total idiot here, grin!
Thanks for whatever help you can give!

The error message you have posted is telling you what you need to do. Re-read the parts I've highlighted in bold for you.
Sometimes Windows doesn't want to cooperate. In that case I boot to Windows, and click reboot from Windows. When it powers back on, hit escape key and boot to Linux. You might have to try it several times.
Thank you all so much for your helps here! Yes, jsbjsb001, that was what I did - and then searched how to do it. Somehow in my setup my windows 10 had me twice, by my name I chose, and then another as administrator (it's my computer!). So, no matter when I closed one, the other was on. I ended up doing option 2 (using a BAT file) here https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html After I did this all is working great, at least to what I see now. Thank you all!
