Unable to mount windows drive on portable Ubuntu? - SOLVED
OK, I run Ubuntu persistently off my flash drive.
I had it going fine yesterday, but today when i booted it up, I couldnt mount my Vista drive.
Quote:
Cannot mount volume.
Unable to mount the volume 'Vista'.
Details:
mount: according to mtab, /dev/sda2 is
already mounted on /media/Vista
Quote:
Unable to mount Vista
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
They are the two error messages I get when I try to mount it.
I think maybe since I didnt unmount it when i shut it down yesterday it still thinks its mounted - but it isnt.
I cant access my windows drive, and I need to
Thanks for any help/ workarounds!

Reason: Problem Solved
nick@ubuntu:~$ sudo umount /media/Vista
umount: /dev/sda2: not mounted
umount: /media/Vista: not found
umount: /dev/sda2: not mounted
umount: /media/Vista: not found
Apparently... That
IDK, but that doesnt look all that good to me... It seems that its not there, and not mounted... And i still cant access that drive.
Thanks for your help, do you have any other suggestions?
Hi Naisanza,
You have placed your query in an already existing thread "Unable to mount windows drive on portable Ubuntu?". This is called "hijacking a thread" and it's not a very nice thing to do. Please start your own thread if you have a question to ask and don't hijack other people's threads. It makes answering questions confusing and annoying.
