Thumbs up Unable to "Mount System"

Hi all,
I'm new to all this but very intrested to get upto scratch on the Linux system.

I have a laptop which will not boot up.
I created a bootable memory key with linux mint last night, starte the laptop up and i could view all the old content on my laptop, pictures, docs etc..
I turned it on this evening in the same manner to remover the files from the drive but it wont allow me open the "system folder"

Any ideas on the problem would be greatly appericiated

Unlike Windows, Linux errors are usually pretty descriptive, and usually tell you exactly what the error was and why it occurred. In this case:
mount: according to mtab, /dev/sda2 is already mounted at /media/mint/SYSTEM
According to the error, the partition is already mounted. Open a terminal and run "mount" or "df -h", see if it's there. If it is, see if you can access the contents.

According to error here, it looks like that the partition selected is already mounted. Maybe the memory stick....
As suggested above, see if df -h clears that. Otherwise consider other options like unmounting the mount in this partition, and try again fresh.
