Unable to mount smbfs to client server

mount -t cifs // /smbdata/ -o ussername=localhost.localdomain/smbuser,password=x
mount error 13 = Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page ( mount.cifs) is my primary server IP and i tried to mount from another server which is accessible

Please help

Try like this:
mount -t cifs // /smbdata -o ussername='localdomain/smbuser',password='x'
