unable to mount devices in debian squeeze
I use debian squeeze in my system.I have little problem in mounting the devices.Mounting pendrive to system displays an error ...

Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

Hard disk partitions can be mounted but I have only read permisions...

Any helps to resolve....Thanks in advance.

You haven't provided much information, so I am guessing here.

If the filesystem is NTFS (if it was formatted with windows), you may need to install the ntfs-3g package to fully support the ntfs file system.

ok WHAT gets an error that mount is empty?
Installing the ntfs3g package wont give that error... Did the ntfs-3g package install properly?

What command are you using with mount?

Can you post the output of the commands, and the errors included. In code tags.
