Unable to install Red Hat 5.x on Intel DG33FB


Hello
I get errors like ACPI no root bridge, BIOS bug no IRQ entries.I have tried using noapic also.

My machine confiuration is :

MBoard- Intel DG33FB
Processor- Intel Core2Quad 2.4GHz
RAM- 2GB DDR2 667MHz
HDD- 250 GB SATA

Do you mean RedHat ENTERPRISE linux 5, or RedHat 5?

Ok...how about posting the EXACT errors you're getting. Also, you may want to try putting your SATA support in BIOS to legacy mode.

And, since you have RHEL, have you contacted RedHat support, since you're paying for it?

Hi,
sorry for delay.I have not purchased rhel5, i got that from my rhce course.Using (linux askmethod noapic acpi=off) i installed it on my machine but when i start my machine it shows me message like [bios bug no explicit irq entries using default mptable (tell your hw vendor)] and it boots normally.What will be the reason for this ?
