unable to install grub 2 in ubuntu 14.04?


Hello,
i am using windows 10 and i thought to install Ubuntu 14.04 so i installed it on windows 10 partition.after completed installed Ubuntu 14.04 it will ask to restart it when i restart my system displays a message

Running apt-get update first should fix this message.

But it's unlikely you need to install grub on your Ubuntu 14.04 - it's probably there. Run dpkg -l | grep -i grub to check. What you need to do is install grub on the bootsector. You will find instructions in many places, for example at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Gr...alling_GRUB_2; perhaps you may want to focus on the section "fixing a broken system".

Thanks for your reply.my problem was solved.apt-get update is not working properly the main problem is with sources.list is corrupted in
