Unable to install GIT on Fedora 10?

I have installed Fedora 10 Recently.I cant use YUM to install Package as it is stopped through proxy in my firm. Now I need exact package for gitk and git-gui which holds dependency issue.
I checked with rpmpbone which I think is best for checking pkg dependency. During the gitk installation it asked me to install tk >=0 .8 which again on installation needed large number of around 30 rpms..Pls Help me in installing Gitk and Git-gui

When I tried installing through yum it throws:

Code:
[root@dice ~]# yum install gitk
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-10&arch=i386 error was
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-2, 'Name or service not known')>
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again

I just ran the yum install with no problems at all.

The error you are seeing is saying that yum cannot hit the URL. Try browsing to the URL in a browser:

http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mir...a-10&arch=i386

Perhaps the site was down momentarily or you lost a connection at the time? Certainly the URL is alive right now.

I can ping the site but when I am running :
Code:
[root@dick ~]# yum install gitk
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-10&arch=i386 error was
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (110, 'Connection timed out')>
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/10/Everything/i386/os/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 12] Timeout: <urlopen error timed out>
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again
I checked out /var/log/yum.log but nothing there.
