unable to install from CD
 

I am attempting to install Xubuntu onto an old system that does not allow selecting to boot from the CD but only the floppy or hard drive. I tried to boot from a linux bootup floppy that I made a couple of years ago but it did not work. It would start to load syslinux but then give a boot failed error. I do not currently have a way to check if the floppy is good, no drive at home.
How can I make a floppy that will boot and allow me to install linux from the CD? Is there a website I can download it from when I am at work?
