unable to install / bad memory
When I try to install any distro of linux on my athlon 950 mhz it ends up in failure. I either get a bunch of scrolling text with cryptic looking memory addresses, or I get an error message "unable to install kernel at virtual memory address [c10x....]." Does this mean I have bad memory, or is it hard drive related sincel they called it virtual memory?

there's a program called memtest. one of the easiest way to do that is to get a SuSE cd boot image. and when it boots up, u can do the memtest.
